NORTHWEST IL – Over the past two weekends, State Representative John M. Cabello held two successful tax appeals events. The first at Loves Park City Hall and the second at the Freeport Library, with both drawing over 100 attendees from Winnebago and Stephenson counties.
These events focused on providing property owners with the essential knowledge and resources needed to appeal their property tax assessments.
During the events, participants were given a comprehensive presentation outlining the process for appealing property tax assessments. Assessments have historically been an issue that cause significant frustration among local residents due to rising property taxes. The high turnout seen at Rep. Cabello’s events reflect the community’s demands and appetites for real property tax relief.
