ILLINOIS – Local fire departments across Illinois are encouraged to take advantage of a funding opportunity aimed at improving public safety and community infrastructure. A total of $5 million in grant funding is now available for fire departments across the state to rehabilitate or build fire stations. Applications must be submitted by February 28, 2025.
The grant funding is part of a state initiative to support essential emergency services and ensure fire departments have the resources needed to effectively protect Illinois residents. Fire departments are encouraged to act swiftly to take full advantage of this opportunity.
