Illinois General Assembly’s Lame Duck Session Begins

ILLINOIS – Lawmakers returned to the Springfield on Saturday for the conclusion of the 103rd General Assembly. The legislature refers to this session as a “Lame Duck” session because they are the final votes lawmakers will take in their current terms prior to the new general assembly being sworn in on January 8th, 2025.
