Rep. Cabello Sworn in to Illinois’ 104th General Assembly

SPRINGFIELD – State Representative John M. Cabello (R-Machesney Park) was sworn in Wednesday to his 7th term in the Illinois House of Representatives. Rep. Cabello is one of only three current state lawmakers also serving as an active duty law enforcement officer. He serves the Rockford Police Department, where he is a 29 year veteran.

“It is an honor to once again represent the hardworking families of Northwest Illinois in the General Assembly,” said Rep. Cabello. “I will fight tooth and nail against passing more tax increases and other failed policies that are harming our quality of life. Public safety, economic growth, and defending the rights of individuals from a corrupt government will continue to be my top priorities as we move into this new session.”

During his time in state government, Cabello has been a leading advocate for improving community safety through crime reduction measures while also opposing tax increases and wasteful government spending.
