ILLINOIS – Democrat lawmakers have lost their minds with their latest set of proposals that would make major changes to state law.
Their first proposal would legalize prostitution and their second would allow inmates to vote while incarcerated in state and federal prisons.
Legalizing prostitution opens the door to increased human trafficking and exploitation, especially of vulnerable women and children. We must protect our communities and keep prostitution illegal.
Prison is for paying a debt to society—not for engaging in the electoral process. Allowing criminals to vote while serving their sentences undermines justice and disrespects crime victims. We must hold those who have broken the law accountable.
