REASONS ILLINOIS NEEDS DOGE

1. Saves Taxpayer Money

DOGE would seek to reduce inefficiencies leading to the state lowering costs and easing the financial burden on Illinois residents.

2. Eliminates Wasteful Spending

  • DOGE’s main priority would ensure taxpayer dollars are used wisely by identifying and cutting unnecessary costs. Illinois is looking at a $55.2 billion dollar budget for FY2026 – there is plenty of waste to cut.

3. Provides Oversight & Accountability

  • DOGE would increase transparency in government operations and hold agencies accountable for inefficiency. Unfortunately Illinois is suffering from corrupt one party rule. Democrat lawmakers do not let Republicans in on any budget negotiations until the dead of night before we have to vote on the budget itself.

4. Reduces Bureaucracy

  • DOGE would help simplify complex government processes that slow down progress and frustrate citizens. The state of Illinois is the largest employer in the state – there are many unnecessary and redundant positions.

5. Streamlines Government Services

  • DOGE would identify ways to consolidate redundant programs and improve service delivery. We have all dealt with the state at one point or another. Whether it’s the DMV, acquiring a FOID card, or acquiring a professional license – DOGE should have no problem finding ways to streamline government services.

6. Ensures Regular Review of Government Operations

  • DOGE would issue quarterly reports or reports by request to keep the Governor, lawmakers, and the public informed.

7. Non-Partisan, Expert-Led Approach

  • DOGE would have a bipartisanly designed structure which should force the board and their experts to focus on good governance rather than political agendas.

8. Increases Efficiency in State Agencies

  • DOGE would work with agencies to improve operations and ensure resources are used effectively. We hear horror stories of licensed professionals having to wait months and months before receiving the necessary licensing documents from the state.

9. Encourages Proactive Problem-Solving

  • DOGE would allow us to proactively expose waste and identify/address issues early. Illinois has a long history of sweeping problems under the rug whether it be issues at DCFS with vulnerable children, pension issues, budget shortfalls in transit – Illinois is notorious for delayed responses to issues.

10. Enhances Legislative Decision-Making

  • DOGE would not allow corrupt lawmakers to make decisions without accurate data, leading to some better policy outcome.
