Rep. Cabello Honors Jane Addams Women’s History Month on House Floor

Jane Addams

SPRINGFIELD – Today, I rose in honor of Women’s History Month to recognize an extraordinary Illinois native, Jane Addams.

Born in Cedarville, Jane Addams was a pioneer for the community and a champion for the underserved.

Her work at Hull House in Chicago transformed communities and laid the foundation for reform across the nation. It also earned her the distinction of being the first woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

Jane Addams’ left a legacy of compassion, service, and advocacy that continues to inspire us today.

Please join me in remembering her contributions and strive to follow her example of leadership and dedication to others.

Happy Women’s History Month!
