The Illinois House of Representatives wrapped up the second-to-last week of the Spring Session on Friday following a week of Committee and Floor action on legislation that recently passed the State Senate. We also took time to congratulate our colleague, Illinois Air National Guard Brig. Gen. (ret.) Wayne Rosenthal, who serves as State Representative for the 108th District, on being named “Legislator of the Year” by the National Guard Association of Illinois.
This week the House also adopted HR 144 filed by Representative Cabello honoring the life and legacy of the late Chicago Bears owner Virginia Halas McCaskey. We are gearing up for a busy final week of Session May 25-31 as the General Assembly prepares to vote on the FY 27 state budget and other major issues.
